October 26, 2006, Spokane, Wash. – Rising medical costs and limited Medicare coverage continue to financially strain Medicare beneficiaries in Spokane.  The lack of information about their options has left many confused and frustrated.  Spokane Community Care, which has operated in the Spokane region since January 2005, is dedicated to walking Spokane community members through their Medicare choices every step of the way.  The comprehensive health care plan offers Medicare beneficiaries with Medicare Part A and B reduced health care costs while ensuring excellent care and access to specialists.  Spokane Community Care has today announced details of its 2007 benefit plans for Medicare-eligible beneficiaries in Spokane County.

“We have a range of benefit plans that cover everything Medicare does, including Medicare Prescription Drug coverage, and includes additional benefits such as preventive services, for less cost,” said Mark Lopez, Director of Sales.

Spokane Community Care will be hosting a series of town hall meetings and free informational seminars beginning in October for Medicare beneficiaries.  These provide a forum to learn more about Medicare health plans, the Medicare Prescription Drug Program, and to explain Spokane Community Care benefits and products.  Medicare eligible individuals in Spokane can look for announcements about these meetings in the mail and local newspaper ads.

“We’re a locally operated organization,” said Ken Bryan, Executive Director for Spokane Community Care.  “These meetings are a great way for people to learn more and get their questions answered by us in person, and we are available in our office in Spokane to continue to answer any questions they have along the way.”
