Arcadian Health Plan offers Medicare Advantage health plans to Medicare-eligible individuals. Enrollees in plans can choose from options with no or low premiums, depending on their health needs.
Enrollees also enjoy large networks of local doctors and hospitals, preventive care services, low co-pays, and in most cases, the new Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage, Part D. To find out more about the details of plans in your area, please click on your region to the left.
When Medicare laws were modernized by Congress in 2003, the private sector was given a greater role in administering Medicare services. In addition to regular Medicare, beneficiaries now have the choice to enroll in Medicare Advantage plans. These follow a managed-care model that uses a network of local doctors and hospitals for enrollees to choose from.
This practice can reduce health care costs while ensuring excellent care and access to specialists. Because of the more efficient Medicare Advantage model, beneficiaries are able to enjoy a greater range of benefits compared with Medicare, reducing the need to carry an additional supplemental insurance policy to cover Medicare gaps.
